UPI also offers method development to help its partners with limited analytical capabilities. UPI can transfer and validate methods from other facilities, as well.
Our microbiological lab is compliant to the requirements of the USP and is capable of species level identification.
We regularly perform Total Plate Counts for Yeast and Molds as well as Total Plate Counts for general testing and for specific pathogens including Salmonella, E. coli, P. aeruginosa, and Staphylococcus aereus. Additional standards can be added upon request.
UPI will build an analytical and microbiological testing plan for components and finished goods that meets customer specific requirements and can provide guidance in good practices.
In addition, we work with contracted labs for those tests that may be unique or fall outside of our capabilities.
