Unicep Packaging, Inc. (UPI) names Lisa Hawkins as Director of Quality

Sandpoint, Idaho, September 14, 2009 --- Unicep Packaging, Inc. (UPI) announced, today, that Lisa Hawkins has joined the UPI management team as Director of Quality.  Hawkins, who was previously at Celeste Contract Packaging, brings over 24 years of experience in all phases of medical device and pharmaceutical quality and regulatory affairs to UPI.

Hawkins primary role at UPI will be overseeing all regulatory compliance programs and directing the internal audit process, including GMP audits of the production facility.  She will also lead the external audit process including FDA, ISO9000 and customer audits.

 “My goals are to enhance UPI’s current compliance plan to ensure that we maintain the highest level of regulatory compliance and compliance to customer requirements and specifications,” said Hawkins, “Key areas will include validation, discrepancy identification and reporting, training, and batch record flow.”
